You are here:   HomeTechnologyInside Joomla! How to move content from one joomla site to another

My partner Colin was amidst another relaunch of his business website and opted to do a joomla 1.5 version to replace his current Joomla 1.0.15 site but I guess he did not want to bother with the funky migration script when all he really needed was the actual content form the old site and not much else...

He found a cool content export tool here:

http://www.bestdownloadsites.com/joomla/download-component

It compiles your webpages into a component that you simply install and PRESTO! - all your content is on your new site!

Make sure you get the correct version for each site - the 1.5 component has to go on the 1.5 website (your "new" one) and you need to export from your 1.0.15 site using the 1.0.15 component.
